I set myself a goal of doing a minimum number of 'poms' each workday, depending on meetings etc. Each time I complete a 25 minute 'pom', I get up and go for a walk to get the blood pumping. However, you can use this couple of minutes to do the things that may normally distract you, like checking email, checking the news headlines etc. After 5 minutes max, get back to work for another 25 minutes..
Try it, it's a very effective way to cut through tasks.
